This document contains resources for branding your unit's content according to UW-Madison and College of Letters & Science standards.
The College of Letters & Science strongly recommends reinforcing the UW-Madison brand at the College and unit level. The following resources will help you ensure that your content meets UW brand standards.

UW-Madison and College of Letters & Science logos are to be used for University and College business only. Do not use the logo for non-University purposes, such as political advocacy or implying a connection between an outside entity and the University where no such connection exists.

Please consult with your design team before altering official logos in any way.
Vector PDF and raster PNG files are provided. Please contact Sarah Morton
if you need the L&S logo in a different format or color configuration. Permissible color changes to the logo are limited to reversing the logo, or the lettermark, to better appear over dark backgrounds.

In certain limited circumstances, such as the need to use the institutional logo in a size that would be too small to read or as a graphic element, it is acceptable to use only the UW crest in one, two, or full color.

College of Letters & Science publications generally use two type families: ITC Galliard
. Both are proprietary typefaces and you will need to order them if you'd like to use them in your publications.

Stationery system items may be ordered through University Communications (UW NetID required; access is restricted to campus IP addresses). Please see the following link to order print letterhead and envelopes for your unit: http://www.uc.wisc.edu/stationery-cards/letterhead.php
University Communications also provides electronic letterhead in 4 color and black and white. These files are in rich-text format (RTF), and should be readable by most word processing software. In some environments, you may need to open the file with your word processing software.
To use these templates, click or right-click on the link. Your browser should either prompt you to save the file or will automatically download the file and open it up in your word processing software. In some environments, you may need to open the file from your word processing software. Fill in your department’s information in the footer of the template.
