Pre-Award: Events & Resources
This document contains information about College, campus, and national resources on grant administration.
The first stop for training with respect to Research Administration is the website of the Office of Human Resource Development's (OHRD) Sponsored Project Administration Series. The Office of Research & Sponsored Programs (RSP) uses this OHRD to manage most of their training offerings.
Rotating topics include:
Cayuse is the system-to-system software purchased by the UW to facilitate the submission of proposals to federal funding agencies, instead of the grants.gov freeware. Initially used only to submit proposals to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), now submissions are possible to many federal sponsors. The UW School for Medicine and Public Health (SMPH) offers training on a regular basis.
See RSP's Training Website for more training resources.
L&S Pre-Award Resources
Departments can request in-house training on a variety of subjects. Past sessions have included such topics as submitting NSF Doctoral Dissertation Research Improvement Grant (DDRIG) proposals, cost sharing, effort reporting, and general proposal preparation and submission. Contact Linda Neusen in L&S Pre-Award Services to discuss opportunities and scheduling.
