Ordering telephone service
This document outlines how to order telephone service
Regardless of which service you are ordering, you need to be an authorized user to request service:
The majority of campus uses Cisco VoIP for their landline services. The phones run on the data network. Users either use a Cisco-branded phone or Jabber on their computer for phone service. To place an order, see Cisco VoIP Request Forms .
Cellular services can be ordered using this form.
Centrex and off-campus landline services
Centrex is an older telephone on campus. The phones are connected using a telephone jack rather than a data network. This includes faxes. There are also phones that are located off-campus. These off-campus numbers start with something other than 608-26X or 608-890. To place an order see Voice/Telephone Services (Centrex) - How to place an order.
