Connecting to SOP Print - Windows

Connecting to the School of Pharmacy print server to access networked printers.
Users at the School of Pharmacy can connect to networked printers via SOP Print - a print server that manages networked printers for divisions and labs.

These directions will show you how to connect to SOP Print on a Windows computer. You must be connected to a campus network (UWNet, Eduroam, or wired) to be able to connect.

1. Press Windows/Command Key + R to bring up the Run dialogue. Type in the server address: \\sopprint.ad.wisc.edu\

Run Prompt

2. If prompted for a log-in, use <YourNetID>@wisc.edu as well as your NetID password. Also check the box to Remember my credentials.

Log In Window

3. Once connected to SOP Print, you will see available printers to connect to. If you double-click on a printer you have permission to access, it will begin installing the printer. If you do not have access, you will get an error message.
