Steps to Add a Network Printer on a Mac

1. Ensure the Mac is connected to the Russell Labs network. The Mac will either need to be connected via Ethernet inside Russell Labs. If the machine is connected via wireless or on a network outside of Russell Labs the computer will need to be connected using the departmental VPN.

2. Download and install the copier drivers for MacOS 10.15, 11, 12, & 13 here: https://global.sharp/restricted/products/copier/downloads/search/us/detail/035840/download.html

3. On the computer, open System Preferences.

4. In System Preferences, click Print & Scan. Note: in some versions of Mac OS X, this was labeled Print & Fax.

5. In the Print & Scan window click on the + button. It will be located in the lower left-hand corner of the window that displays added devices.

6. Select the IP tab. Add the IP address of the printer you wish to print to.

7. OS X should auto-detect the printer and add the correct driver Sharp BP-50C36 PPD. 

1. 1. Click add select the following options: (must also be used for Copier A IP 144.92.199.220, Copier B (shown below) IP 144.92.198.47, and RM 436 Copier IP 144.92.199.92)
      
   2. Select the options appropriate for the printer you are connecting to.

The following options are available for the Sharp color copiers:

Room 218 Sharp BP-50C36:

Input Tray: Four Trays

Output Tray: Inner Finisher

Room 218 Sharp BP-50C36:

Input Tray: Four Trays

Output Tray: Inner Finisher

     3. The printer should now appear in your list of printers.
