Canvas - "Maintenance" Error When Accessing LTI Tools (12/20/25) [RESOLVED]

Starting at approximately 10:45 AM until 12:00 PM (CT) on December 20th, users may have encountered an error, "Canvas is currently undergoing scheduled maintenance", when trying to access certain LTI tools within Canvas.

Not all LTI tools were affected, but some tools that were reported include Piazza and the Faculty Center Grade Prep.

This error was reported to the vendor, Instructure, and their technologists applied a fix to correct the issue. For more information, please see this status page here.
