Universities of Wisconsin - Login Credentials for Each Campus (Wisconsin Federation)

UW-Eau Claire
UW-Eau Claire users authenticate using their campus network username.
- Note: Your campus network username is the same as the local-part of your email address (the local-part is the portion of the email address that appears before the @ symbol and domain). Typically, this will be the first six letters of your last name followed by the first letters of your first and middle names.
- Example: For the name Theresa M. Reineke, the campus network username would be reinektm, and the email address would be reinektm@uwec.edu.
UW-Extension

UW-Extension users authenticate using their UW-Extension ID and email password.
- Note: The username is the same as the local-part of your corresponding uwex.edu email address (the local-part is the portion of the email address that appears before the @ symbol and domain).
- Example: If the email address is doeja012@uwex.edu, the username would be doeja012.
UW-Green Bay
UW-Green Bay users authenticate using their campus username. The username format depends on the type of user account to which it is attached: students or faculty and staff. See the notes and examples below for more information.
- Note for students: Student account usernames consist of the first four characters of their last name, the first letters of their first and middle names, and the day of birth written in the two-digit format (this should only be the specific day of the month—numbers pertaining to the birthday's month and year are not included). For birthdays that fall within the first nine days of a month, the two-digit format would be written with a zero followed by the date; see the example below for a visual depiction of this formatting. - Example: For the name Anthony Marc Shalhoub whose birthday is on October 2, the username would be shalam02.
- Note for faculty and staff: Faculty and staff account usernames consist of the first seven characters of their last name and the first letter of their first name. There are occasional exceptions to this arrangement.
- Example: For the name Martin Greenberg, the username would be greenbem.
UW-Independent Learning
UW-Online Collaboratives Technical Support
When you register for an Independent Learning Canvas course, your username is sent to you via email within one business day. A temporary password is also sent; however, you are required to change it upon your first login.
- If you know your username: You may be able to reset your password in the password portal by clicking "Forgot Password" and following the prompts thereafter.
- If you do not know or remember your username: Reach out to the Independent Learning Tech Support team by filling out their help request form.
UW-La Crosse
UWL Student Information System
UW-La Crosse users authenticate using their NetID username and password associated with the university.

UW-Madison
UW-Madison users authenticate using their NetID. Your NetID is the username that grants you access to University services, such as email, MyUW, student records, payroll information, calendaring, etc.
- Note: Your NetID is randomly generated from University records and typically includes some combination of your first, middle, and last names. If you have forgotten your NetID, follow the instructions outlined in the following article: How to NetID Recovery.
UW-Milwaukee
UW-Milwaukee users authenticate using their ePantherID (this is the same as your UWM username). The ePantherID is assigned upon account activation. If you ae unsure of your username, contact the UWM Help Desk for assistance.
- Note: An ePanther ID is 2-8 characters in length and generated in relation to your first and last name (see the next bullet point for an example). The ID always begins with a letter and, if included, will only use numbers 2-9. They will contain no symbols or special characters.
- Example: For the name William R. Caine, a possible username could be wrcaine.
UW-Oshkosh
UW-Oshkosh Information Technology
UW-Oshkosh users may authenticate using one of three credentials; what specific credentials you use depends on the application you are trying to use/access.
NetID
NetIDs are used to authenticate and access the following applications and services:
- WiFi
- D2L
- Housing Portal
- My-OWO
- Campus computer labs
- Other campus websites
- Note: The default NetID format is the first five letters of your last name, the first letter of your first name, and the last two digits of your student ID number. See the following article for more information on NetIDs and what to do for a forgotten NetID: NetID Login Information.
- Example: For the name Jim VandeHei with the student ID number 1234123, the NetID would be vandej23.
TitanApps Username
TitanApps usernames are used to authenticate and access the following applications and services:
- Calendar
- Drive
- Note: The TitanApps username is formatted using your NetID followed by @owosh.edu.
- Example: If the NetID is vandej23, the TitanApps username would be vandej23@owosh.edu.
TitanWeb User ID
A TitanWeb user ID enables you to do the following:
- Register for courses
- Check grades
- Pay tuition
- Manage financial aid
- View STAR reports
- View transcripts
- Note: Your TitanWeb user ID begins with a capital W followed by your seven-digit student ID number. If you have forgotten or misplaced your student ID number, contact the UW-Oshkosh Help Desk.
- Example: For a user with the student ID number 1234123, the TitanWeb user ID would be W1234123.
UW-Parkside
UW-Parkside Student Navigation
UW-Parkside users authenticate using their email user ID (also called SOLAR ID). Your UW-Parkside username is sent to you via email within one business day of your application to the university; the email address to which it is sent is the email address you provided on your application.
- Note: Your username is randomly generated by UW-Parkside. If you do not remember or cannot find the email containing your username, contact the Tech Bar either via email or phone; this contact information can be found directly below:

UW-Platteville
UW-Platteville users authenticate using their NetID (the NetID is the same as the user's UW-Platteville username). Your NetID is sent to you via email once the UW-Platteville Office of Admissions and Recruitment receives your application to the university; the email address to which it is sent is the email address you provided on your application.

UW-River Falls

UW-River Falls users authenticate using their Falcon Account, which is vital to accessing many important UW-River Falls computer resources.
UW-Stevens Point

UW-Stevens Point users authenticate using their UWSP logon ID. The ID format depends on the type of user account to which it is attached: students or faculty and staff. See the notes and examples below for more information.
- Note for students: Students must activate their accounts before they can begin accessing UWSP resources; your unique logon ID will be displayed for you following activation. Logon IDs are typically the first letter of your first name, the first four letters of your last name, and the last three digits of your student ID number followed by the domain part @uwsp.edu. In some cases, certain parts of the student logon IDs are changed from this default pattern in order to ensure the user a unique ID.
- Example: For the name Dorothy Davids with the student ID number 1234123, the logon ID would be ddavi123@uwsp.edu.
- Note for faculty and staff: Faculty and staff email and network accounts are created automatically when departments add new employees to their department listings in the Campus Information Maintenance System. Your logon ID is typically the first letter of your first name and the first seven letters of your last name followed by the domain part @uwsp.edu. In some cases, certain parts of the faculty/staff logon IDs are changed from this default pattern in order to ensure the user a unique ID.
- Example: For the name Helen Parkhurst, the faculty/staff logon ID would be hparkhur@uwsp.edu.
UW-Stout
UW-Stout users authenticate using their email username.
- Note: Your default email username is typically your last name followed by the first letter of your first name.
- Example: For the name Nettie McBirney, the email username would be mcbirneyn.
UW-Superior
UW-Superior users authenticate using their campus user ID (also called an E-Hive user ID). Your login information is provided to you in the acceptance letter that the university sends you via the mail. This letter will provide you with your username and instructions on how to create your password through Okta.

UW System Administration users authenticate by using the local-part of their email address (the local-part is the portion of the email address that appears before the @ symbol and domain) and their password.
UW-Whitewater
UW-Whitewater Identity Management
UW-Whitewater users authenticate using their Net-ID. Your Net-ID is the same as the username you use to access most of the campus systems; it is also the local-part of your university email address (the local-part is the portion of the email address that appears before the @ symbol and domain). Students receive their Net-ID (and email address) once they have submitted their application to UW-Whitewater; it is sent to the email account students used when applying to the university.
- Note: Your Net-ID is typically formatted using a combination of numbers and letters.
If you have lost or can't remember your Net-ID, you can retrieve it with your student or employee ID via the university's Lookup Service.
