How to pick up a reserved UW Fleet vehicle after-hours
This document explains how to pick up a reserved vehicle at the UW Fleet office outside of operating hours.
- Use the silver keypad (located beneath the after-hours key drop) to enter your six-digit reservation number, followed by the pound (#) sign.
- The indicator light above the keypad will turn on when a valid reservation number is entered. When the light turns green, enter the building.
- The key dispenser located to the right of the entryway. A beeping sound will indicate that the door is unlocked: open the door and locate your keys, which will be hanging from a lighted compartment slot.
- Note: There is a 25-second window to enter the building and open the key dispenser after a valid reservation number is entered. If you time out, re-enter your reservation number (followed by the # sign) at either the outside keypad, or the keypad located inside next to the entryway.

- Remove your key and close the door to the key dispenser.
- Enter your name, vehicle number, destination, and reservation number in the log book located on the counter in front of the gated window.
- Locate your reserved vehicle in the UW Fleet parking lot by referring to the information on the vehicle's keys (fleet number, make, model, and color). The fleet number is located on the front quarter panel and back bumper of the vehicle.
