DoIT GitLab User Updates 09/04/2020

In order to support knowledge sharing and transparency, the DoIT Shared Tools team added a News and Announcements feature to the Shared Tools knowledge base. This will include our communication history and any GitLab updates. Many groups, including our own, utilize GitLab and our goal is to make finding information as easy as possible.
The Shared Tools team is currently working on identifying users by role (e.g. faculty, student, and staff). We are narrowing down which projects and/or users may require enterprise education licensing and in some cases, may reach out to those who are neither faculty members nor students to ask some clarifying questions.
