GitLab Service & Eligibility Update on 12/13/2022

An improved process for managing GitLab user eligibility will be implemented on 12/13/2022. During the NetID login process for git.doit.wisc.edu, the user's membership in an eligible population will be automatically checked.
The shared instance of GitLab (git.doit.wisc.edu) is available to these UW-Madison populations:
- Researchers
- Faculty
- Staff
- Students
- Certain affiliates
UW-Madison Users Logging in with NetID
This will not change the login process for UW-Madison users.
Non-UW Madison Users
If non-UW Madison users collaborate on your projects, please contact the Shared Tools team. We will discuss your needs and confirm their access.
If Your Login Does Not Work After the Change
If your login does not work after December 13, submit a request to the Shared Tools team. We will review your account and determine the best next steps.
