Once connected to VPN, open File Explorer (yellow/manilla folder) and in the file path bar at the top type in \\smph.drive.wisc.edu\smph-data\private\labname where you substitute your lab's name for labname (for example, John Brown lab would be jblab).
It will prompt you for credentials, select "other user or other sign in" and put AD\NetID (use your own NetID and password). Once it connects, you should see your lab's drive.
Within that, there usually is a "Shared Services Drive Map Scripts" folder, and there are PC and Mac folders inside. You can copy the file from that folder that you need to your home computer's desktop, and then double-click on it, to connect to your lab drives and printers. It will prompt you for UW Net ID sign-in.
Follow the further steps below to setup the printer for the first time.

This will install the printer, and make it available for printing. Be patient, the installation can take a few minutes.
