SMPH EMS Installation

Steps to install or update EMS for users based installs

Note this document is intend for EMS partners of SMPH

  1. Check downloads folder and delete any EMSApplication.exe or emswebdeployconfiguration.cfg

  2. Uninstall current EMS client, Start menu->control panel->uninstall a program-> select EMS

    1. Note you may need to work with your IT departmental to uninstall the EMS client
    2. Note the uninstall is needed to complete a security change 
  3. Click Download and Install EMS from https://uwmadison.emscloudservice.com/desktop/

    1. Note this may be blocked by popup blocker, check the upper right corner of your browser to allow and download again to get both files

    2. Also configuration file may be flagged click allow on the download

  4. Make sure you have downloaded both the EMSApplication.exe and emswebdeployconfiguration.cfg files
  5. Run the EMSApplication.exe was downloaded

  6. Wait for installation to complete
