SMPH Guide for Flexible Work Arrangements Pushed Back for Editing - Employee

This document provides employee instructions to follow when a Flexible Work Arrangement (FWA) is pushed back in Workday for editing.

Employees will be notified via email that their FWA has been pushed back to them in Workday by either their supervisor or HR. 

   

Part 1 - Sent Back Flexible Work Arrangement

  1. Log into Workday

  2. Navigate to Task Inbox (upper right corner basket/box icon)

  3. Locate in My Tasks > All Items, the task called "Request Flexible Work Arrangement: Your Name"  

    • Tip: search your own name in the search bar for easier locating

    • Please note it should say below the task title "Sent Back by"

  4. Open this task by clicking on it

  5. Once you have opened, scroll down to the bottom of the webpage and locate "Process History."

    • This is where the Supervisor, HRBP, or HRA will comment on what edits need to be made.

    • Memorize corrections needed or copy and paste in your files for later in the process

  6. Update any details such as start date, end date, type, hours per work, etc. on this page that you have been asked to edit then click Submit. 

    • Please note: if the edits you are being asked to make are a part of the questionnaire (in-person attendance requirements, data & technology access) you will be able to make those edits in Part 3 of this process. You must hit submit here to get back to the questionnaire

Part 2 Update Home Contact Change

  1. Once you have clicked Submit, you will have a new task called "Update Home Contact Change."
  2. If you are certain your home contact information is correct you can just click Submit on this task.

Part 3 Flexible Work Arrangement Questionnaire

  1. Next, you will get a task called "Flexible Work Arrangement Questionnaire: Position# Title - Your Name" in your task inbox

  2. This is where you can update In-person attendance requirements, remote equipment, data & technology access, etc. Make any necessary changes from the comment listed under Process History in Part 1  
  3. Click Submit  
  4. This will then route your Flexible Work Arrangement to your supervisor
