Rate & Title Adjustment Pause and Cutover Guidance

As we transition to Workday we will enter a pause period for rate and title adjustments.

At the start of May, we will enter a pause period with respect to Rate and Title change requests for employees. Please plan to work with your HR representatives to prioritize needs for rate and/or title changes in your department.

The final day that our HR team will be able to submit requests for rate and/or title changes for employees will be May 1, 2025. Please keep in mind that our HR team often needs to have multiple conversations with a supervisor prior to submitting a rate or title change request and will need time to enter the details of the request in the JEMS Rate & Title system. To ensure sufficient time to submit your requests, we recommend reaching out to your HRBP as soon as possible but no later than April 24 for any rate or title change requests that you may have between May and July.

The possible effective dates of rate and title change requests that can be submitted now through May 1, 2025, are 5/4/2025, 5/18/2025, and 6/1/2025. Any requests that are not submitted by the HR team by May 1 will need to be submitted via Workday utilizing a 6/29/2025 (or later) effective date.

If there are urgent retention situations that arise after May 1, 2025, please reach out to your HRBP to discuss the possibility of submitting a request after this date.

There will be a “pause” on the submission and review of new rate and title change requests between May 2, 2025 and July 7, 2025 to allow our HR team to focus on the multiple compensation exercises that have an effective date around the start of the upcoming fiscal year which also coincide with the implementation of Workday.

Between now and the pause that begins on May 1, 2025, please continue to work with your HRBP on any rate and title requests that you may have. We will be reviewing requests as we typically do via the standard review process. 

In addition, lump sum requests for the 6B payroll (6/15/25-6/28/25) will need to be submitted for review to the compensation team no later than June 16, 2025. This will allow time for entry and appropriate approvals in HRS. There likely will need to be additional communication with the HR team and supervisor prior to June 16, 2025 to allow time for the HR team to discuss the request with the manager and draft and send the request to the compensation team. We again recommend reaching out to your HRBP as soon as possible but no later than June 9, 2025, for any lump sum requests for the 6B payroll (6/15/25-6/28/25). Lump sum requests with an effective date of June 29, 2025 or later will need to wait to be entered until July after the transition to Workday.
