Gardy has been designing and facilitating social justice and diversity training for students, faculty, staff and community leaders at higher education institutions (and K-12 schools, community organizations, etc) for 15+ years, including for a decade as Director of Social Justice and Inclusion at Rowan University. He's going to offer a workshop on gaining confidence for networking with attention to how uneven experiences of advantage, opportunity, privilege, etc may impact our comfort accessing and navigating different spaces for networking (e.g., academic conferences), and how to not only access these spaces but connect with potential mentors and build relationships. This session will be useful to students at any stage in the program.
