Browsers - Troubleshooting uBlock Origin
Changing uBO settings if an element appears to be missing from a webpage.
Technical Support deploys the uBlock Origin (uBO) ad blocker for commonly-used browsers: Chrome, Firefox, and Edge. This guide explains how to troubleshoot missing or hidden webpage elements (like a menu, text block, or image) that may be caused by uBO.
- First, refreshing the webpage.
- If the missing content still doesn't appear, change the settings in uBO by following the steps for your browser below.
Chrome
- Click on the uBO icon in the top right corner of your web browser.

- Click on the settings gear icon.
- Click on the Custom filters tab.
- Click the Trash icon for the filters that are related to the website with the issue.
- Go back to the website and refresh the page.
Edge
- Click on the uBO icon in the top right corner of your web browser.

- Click on the settings gear icon.
- Click on the Custom filters tab.
- Click the Trash icon for the filters that are related to the website with the issue.
- Go back to the website and refresh the page.
Firefox
- Click on the uBO icon in the top right corner of your web browser.

- Click on the settings gear icon.
- Click on the My filters tab.
- Delete the lines of code inside the custom filter text box that are related to the website with the issue.

- Click Apply changes.
- Go back to the website and refresh the page.
