Browsers - Troubleshooting uBlock Origin

Changing uBO settings if an element appears to be missing from a webpage.

Technical Support deploys the uBlock Origin (uBO) ad blocker for commonly-used browsers: Chrome, Firefox, and Edge. This guide explains how to troubleshoot missing or hidden webpage elements (like a menu, text block, or image) that may be caused by uBO.

  1. First, refreshing the webpage.
  2. If the missing content still doesn't appear, change the settings in uBO by following the steps for your browser below.

Chrome

  1. Click on the uBO icon in the top right corner of your web browser.

  2. Click on the settings gear icon.
  3. Click on the Custom filters tab.
  4. Click the Trash icon for the filters that are related to the website with the issue.
  5. Go back to the website and refresh the page.

Edge

  1. Click on the uBO icon in the top right corner of your web browser.

  2. Click on the settings gear icon.
  3. Click on the Custom filters tab.
  4. Click the Trash icon for the filters that are related to the website with the issue.
  5. Go back to the website and refresh the page.

Firefox

  1. Click on the uBO icon in the top right corner of your web browser.

  2. Click on the settings gear icon.
  3. Click on the My filters tab.
  4. Delete the lines of code inside the custom filter text box that are related to the website with the issue.

  5. Click Apply changes.
  6. Go back to the website and refresh the page.
