Web Hosting - Resetting Secure FTP Passwords

You can obtain or reset your Secure FTP password from the Plesk Control Panel for Windows/IIS, LAMP and Java Tomcat web accounts.

Windows/IIS Accounts

  1. Log in to the Plesk Control Panel.

    Note: If you have lost or forgotten your Plesk password, see Web Hosting - Resetting the Administrative Control Panel (Plesk) Password.

  2. Select Web Hosting Settings.
  3. See Preferences - Enter a new password.

Linux LAMP and Java/Tomcat Accounts

  1. Log in to the Plesk Control Panel.

    Note: If you have lost or forgotten your Plesk password, see Web Hosting - Resetting the Administrative Control Panel (Plesk) Password.

  2. Go to the homepage or select Websites & Domains.
  3. Click on Web Hosting Access.
  4. Enter a new password for the System User. You can generate a random, valid password by using the Generate and Show buttons.
