WiscIT - Network Device Filter Cleaning Task Automation Overview

This document details the filter cleaning task automation for Network Devices in WiscIT.

The Network Device filter cleaning task automation is a process through which, when a filter cleaning task on a Network Device is completed, a new task is created with a start date set 6 months in the future.

Viewing Network Devices with a filter cleaning task

  1. Log into WiscIT. See WiscIT - Logging into WiscIT Powered by Ivanti Neurons for more information.

  2. Open the Network Device Workspace. See WiscIT - Workspaces Overview for more information.

  3. Change the saved search selector to Network Devices with filter cleaning task.

Adding a Network Device to the automation

  1. Log into WiscIT. See WiscIT - Logging into WiscIT Powered by Ivanti Neurons for more information.

  2. Open the Network Device Workspace. See WiscIT - Workspaces Overview for more information.

  3. Open the Network Device.

  4. Open the Task tab.

  5. Click New Task.

  6. Set the Task Catalog field to the value NS Filter Cleaning 6mo.

  7. Optional: Set the Start Date to a date in the future.

  8. Save the record.

Removing a Network Device from the automation

  1. Log into WiscIT. See WiscIT - Logging into WiscIT Powered by Ivanti Neurons for more information.

  2. Open the Network Device Workspace. See WiscIT - Workspaces Overview for more information.

  3. Open the Network Device.

  4. Open the Task tab.

  5. Cancel the existing filter cleaning task.

  6. Save the record.
