This document explains how to use WiscIT's Email Filter Text Token Tags to filter email notifications.
What are WiscIT Email Filter Text Token Tags?
WiscIT Email Filter Text Token Tags (WEFTTTS) are appended to subjects of automatic notifications sent from WiscIT. They provide a standardized format through which recepients can filter their mail to meet their operational needs. The format is as follows:
- Service: Always W for WiscIT.
- Object: E.g. I for Incident.
- Category: E.g. N for Notification.
- Recipient: E.g. T for Team.
- Trigger: E.g. A for Assignment.
The examples listed above would comprise the WEFTTT [#WINTA]
Do all mails from WiscIT include a WEFTTT?
No, generally only automatic notifications will have a WEFTTT. Mails manually sent by Technologists do not currently include a WEFTTT.
