WiscIT - Getting Access to WiscIT Powered by Ivanti Neurons
Who can access WiscIT Powered by Ivanti Neurons?
Anyone with a UW-Madison NetID can log into the Self-service Portal of WiscIT Powered by Ivanti Neurons.
To log into the Analyst Interface, your WiscIT record must have at least one role that grants analyst access.
How do I get access to log into the Analyst Interface?
The most common way to get access to the analyst interface is to be granted the Service Technologist role by being added to a team. To be added to a team:
- Work with your manager or colleagues to determine which team(s) you should be added to
- Determine who manages the team(s)
- Request that the team manager(s) add you to the team(s)
Once added to a team, you will instantly and automatically be granted the Service Technologist role
Getting Access to Other Roles
At the time of writing, the only two roles that are provisioned automatically are Service Technologist and Self Service. All other roles are provisioned manually by WiscIT administrators. Please submit a support request to gain access to other roles. See WiscIT - Get help with WiscIT for more information.
In the near future, the WiscIT team plans to automate provisioning of most (but not all) roles through team membership.
