To setup VPN, follow these instructions:

1. First, install the Palo Alto Networks GlobalProtect VPN client. Instructions for installing the GlobalProtect VPN client for Windows can be found at https://kb.wisc.edu/helpdesk/91915.
   
   
2. After installing the client you'll see a screen that looks similar to this in the bottom right-hand corner (if you don't see it look for a small gray circle icon in your bottom right tray that looks like this):
   
   
   
3. On this screen (which appears after installation or after double-clicking the icon shown in step 2) enter uwmadison.vpn.wisc.edu for the portal address.
   
   
   
   
4. Click the Connect button. When prompted, enter your NetID username and password and click Sign In.
   
   
   
5. When prompted, either enter a Duo passcode and click Sign In; or enter 1, click Sign In, and complete a Duo push authentication.
   
   
   
6. You will then be connected to the Science Hall and UW Madison campus networks.
