Standard Operating Procedures

Work hours

Normal work hours are 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Any work requested outside of these hours will be completed on a “best effort” basis.

Job requests

New — New jobs or jobstream requests for existing customers, will normally be completed within 3 to 5 business days unless they are rather large or contain difficult setups.

Additions — Additions to current schedules should be completed within 1 business day.

Same day requests  — Same day requests for existing jobs or job streams must be submitted by 1:00 p.m. or it will NOT run that day. Any exceptions must be made by contacting a Workload Automation employee directly (voice mail requests cannot be guaranteed especially since most folks are remote now) with your request (608-263-2648 Sys Operations).

Please use our scheduling form or send us an email with your job request to batchscheduling@g-groups.wisc.edu. Requests sent outside of these two methods will be completed on a “best effort” basis.
