This article describes the referral process for customers with an issue related to the legacy
Human Resources System (HRS).
Workday Updates
On July 7, 2025, MyUW tiles related to specific employee self-service and manager self-service tasks will get a refresh.
Workday tiles will replace:
- Time and Absence
- Personal Information
- Manager Time and Approval
- HRS Approvals used by supervisors
- Payroll Information

Referral Procedure for HRS Related Questions
WiscIT Incidents resulting in UWSS referrals should be classified as Help Desk Support > REFERRALS > UWSS Service Operations (HRS) and the customers should be directed to the UW-Shared Service Service Operations team.
- The preferred referral method is for customers to email serviceoperations@uwss.wisconsin.edu
- Do not forward emails in WiscIT. Refer the customer and classify the email case as Help Desk Support > REFERRALS > UWSS Service Operations (HRS).
- The second referral method is for customers to call either 608-262-0600 or 888-298-0141.
- Service Operations is available by phone 7:45 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday-Friday. Customers can send an email at any time.
Issues with Enterprise/"Pick 4" HR-related services
Issues with other HRS products, like Cypress and JEMS, and HR-related services, like SFS, should also be classified accordingly. Most are being referred to Universities of Wisconsin Shared Services: [Link for document 17960 is unavailable at this time]
