Activate Your CAE Account

In order to activate a CAE Account you must be a student enrolled in an engineering course, be employed by the College of Engineering, or have been granted an account requested by a faculty or staff member within the College of Engineering. If you are a student, the process may not work until the weekday after you obtain your UW ID card.

Online from a web browser

Go to the CAE Home Page and click on the Activate Your Account link at the left. 

If you do not have a NetID, you will need to know your UW ID number and your date of birth. Otherwise, click "Have NetID" to login with your NetID. This means that you will have to have activated your NetID already.

Please Note: This process can take up to an hour for all information to sync into the CAE system.
