Connecting a Phone to the WIDMIR Network (Android 11)

Instructions for connecting to the WIDMIR wireless network with a cellphone.

Send a ticket to service@discovery.wisc.edu requesting a copy of the Wifi CA root certificate be emailed to you or come down to the DiscoverIT office to ask for assistance getting WIDMIR wifi setup on your phone

Download the certificate to your phone by tapping on the attachment.

Open your settings app and navigate to Security > Encryption & Credentials > Install a Certificate > CA certificate. (it's possible that this could differ by phone model) or use the search function within settings to locate "CA Certificate" and install the certificate.

Match the settings on your phone to one of the pictures below. The settings are different for Google Pixel Phones 3 and newer.

    Your username and password are the ones you received from DiscoveryIT.
