Diskover: Limit the Scope of Your Searches

By default, Diskover searches all indexed volumes and their directories. If you want to search only within a specific path, you can use the Current Dir toggle.

A

Choose your path: Drill down in the file tree to the folder you want to use as your search starting point.

B

Turn on Current Dir: Slide the Current Dir toggle to activate it → gray is off and colored is on.

Limit Your Searches to a Specific Index

You can also limit your search based on which index you want to use (latest or older data).

  • Search the latest indexed data/volume: Simply select the volume you want to search using Current Dir as described above.

  • Search older indexed data/volume: To look at earlier snapshots of your data, choose the specific index you want to use.
