UW-Madison G Suite - Log in
This document explains how to log in to your UW-Madison G Suite account. Please note, you must be eligible for the UW-Madison G Suite service to log in.
- Log in to your UW-Madison G Suite account
- Log in to UW-Madison G Suite using an Office 365 service account
- Log in to Google Groups using your UW-Madison G Suite account
Log in to your UW-Madison G Suite account
Enter your NetID credentials when prompted.
- Click on your email@example.com email address.
Note: If your NetID is linked to multiple email accounts, you may see a list of additional email addresses. From this list, you can select the desired account. If you do not see multiple accounts listed, you can skip this note.
After you log in, you'll be taken to Google Drive where you can see folders and files that were created by and shared with your UW-Madison G Suite account.
Tip: If you have a personal Google account and a UW-Madison G Suite account, you are encouraged to create separate browser profiles (ex: Chrome user profiles) to ensure that you are logged in to the correct account. Learn more: https://kb.wisc.edu/13926#separate.
Log in to UW-Madison G Suite using an Office 365 service account
Recommendation: If you have multiple UW-Madison Google accounts (e.g., firstname.lastname@example.org, email@example.com), use a different browser for each account. You can learn how to create different profiles using your web client below:
There are two options to log in to a service account:
Option 1: Via your NetID credentials if the service account is linked to your NetID.
Option 2: Entering the service account’s credentials.

Once you're logged in, you'll be taken to Google Drive.
- Although you're logged in as a service account, your experience should be the same as logging in to your firstname.lastname@example.org account.
Log in to Google Groups using your UW-Madison G Suite account
Log in to https://groups.google.com/my-groups.
If prompted for an email address, enter your email@example.com email address, and click Next.
Enter your NetID credentials, when prompted.
