What is the PI Portal?
It’s a dashboard because it combines, in one place, information specific to you that comes from many different systems: your proposals, projects, protocols, outside activity reports, effort certifications, and training completion info.
It’s an on-ramp because from here you can go directly to the place where you can complete an administrative task like:
- Advancing a WISPER proposal record through the approval process
- Updating a protocol
- Submitting an outside activity report
- Certifying effort
It’s a quick-reference guide that collects in one place the essentials about many compliance and administrative topics.
It has three major sections:
My Information - | Digests of your proposals, projects, protocols, and so on with direct links to many IT systems, grouped by subject area |
My Notes - | A place to enter notes to yourself, by subject area |
Resources - | Quick-reference guides for research administration and compliance, by subject area |
You can delegate viewing rights to a colleague or staff member, such as a lab manager. Once you do this, they can log in and impersonate you – and see what you see.
We want your feedback! The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Graduate Education would like to know:
- Overall, is this useful to you as a PI?
- Is the organization of the information clear?
- Are we missing information that you expect to see here?
- Is the interface easy to use? How could we improve it?
Please send us feedback via email.
