Endorsement/Approval Pending
Draft of "Cybersecurity Risk Management Policy".
- The Information Technology Committee (ITC) endorsed the policy on May 19. The University Committee (UC) will consider it this Fall.
Proposal to Develop a Network Firewall Policy.
- Approval of the proposal is still pending. Drafting of the policy and proceduers will begin as soon as possible, in parallel with the proposal.
Draft charter for a Policy Planning and Analysis Team, (would replace the Policy Planning Team.)
- The charter is approved, although there may be some adjustments as discussion continues. The membership section is acceptable. The team will begin forming immediately.
Draft revision of IT Policy Principles and Procedures and related documents.
- Under development by the Policy Planning Team.

Divisional Technology Advisory Group (DTAG)

Infrastructure Advisory Group (IAG)

- The IAG reviews and makes recommendations on campus infrastructure operations and projects. Administrative contact.
Information Technology Committee (ITC)
The ITC has adjorned for the Summer. Next meeting in Sep.

Information Technology Steering Committee (ITSC)
- August 18, 12:00-1:30, Rm 302 Middleton Bldg
Vote on approval of draft Policy Planning and Analysis Team Charter. RESULT: ITSC is still considering the details of the charter, but is also willing to begin the appointment process, permitting the team to begin forming as the other details are discussed.
Vote on the Proposal for a Network Firewall Policy. RESULT: ITSC waiting for the re-chartered Planing and Analysis Team so that the Network Firewall Policy can serve as the first instance under the new arrangement, but is also willing that the drafting of the policy and procedures begin immmediately.
- The ITSC is the executive body that leads the strategic planning, organization, prioritization, investment, and decision-making activities in all areas of IT throughout UW-Madison. Administrative contact.
Policy Planning Team (PPT)

- The PPT advises and assists the Office of the CIO with the iterative improvement of IT Policy Principles and Procedures, and coordinates policy communications. See the PPT charter for details. Research Technology Advisory Group (RTAG)

- RTAG advises the Vice Chancellor for Research and Graduate Education in meeting their responsibility to ensure that the policies, practices, and resources around research cyberinfrastructure and information technology are most effectively aligned to support and advance the vibrant research programs at the UW-Madison. Web and Mobile Accessibility/Usability Coordinating Group (Coordinating Group)

The group coordinates improvement of the accessibility/usability of UW-Madison web and mobile systems and services through implementation of accessibility tools; creation of best practices, standards, and shared-expertise; creation of training for developers and service providers; and measurement of accessibility of websites and mobile applications.
