L&S Human Resources System Access Request
Link to form: L&S Human Resources System Access Request Form
The College of Letters & Science (L&S) Human Resources System Access Request Form was created to allow supervisors for HR and payroll professionals (and those with job duties, roles and responsibilities related to HR/payroll) to request access to a variety of Campus Human Resources Systems.
Below is a list of Human Resources Systems and information explaining what each is used for.
Cypress
Cypress is data repository used for distribution and storage of reports produced by the Human Resource System (HRS) on a daily basis for use by UW institutions, UWSS Service Operations, and Management.
HireRight
UW–Madison partners with third-party vendor HireRight to process I-9 (employment eligibility) forms. Authorized users can initiate I-9 forms through the HireRight system.
HRS
Human Resource System (HRS) is an enterprise data system that administers human resource functions for the entire University of Wisconsin System; major functions or modules include human resources, payroll, time and labor, absence management, benefits, funding, and reporting.
JEMS
Job and Employee Management System (JEMS):
Hire – used to enter hires of all UW-Madison appointments (except Student Hourlies) into HRS
Job Change – used by HR to track job changes for employees (except Student Hourlies)
PVL – used to create and manage Position Vacancy Listings (PVLs) to recruit open positions
Rate/Title Change – used by HR to track Rate/Title changes for Faculty, Academic Staff, Limited Appointees, University Staff, and Temporary Employee positions
PMDP
Performance Management and Development Program (PMDP) is a centralized system for tracking and documenting activities and conversations required by UW-Madison’s performance management policy, providing the campus with greater consistency in how performance management is recorded.
TREMS
Talent Recruitment and Engagement Management System (TREMS) is UW–Madison’s online applicant tracking system.
UWBI/OBIEE & Tableau
UW Business Intelligence (UWBI), also known as OBIEE, is a comprehensive business intelligence and analytics platform replacing the legacy, system-wide reporting tool, Hyperion Interactive Reporting. This primarily impacts HR users of the Query Library tool. UW-Madison utilizes the HRS Shared Queries which replaced most of the HR/Payroll/Benefits reports in the Query Library, while other reports are created in Tableau.
Tableau is the primary reporting tool used by UW-Madison for data that comes from the Student Information System (SIS), Shared Financial System (SFS), and InfoAccess.
