SIS/Building Your Schedule of Classes - Maintain Schedule of Classes: Enrollment Control Tab
The Enrollment Control tab of Maintain Schedule of Classes is used to set up enrollment packages (course sections that automatically enroll, or auto enroll, the student into another course section); specify classroom, enrollment, and waitlist capacities; set consent as needed; and cancel sections as needed.
From the SIS Homepage, select the Curric & Enrollment Rep WorkCenter tile. Select Maintain Schedule of Classes.
Use the "Find" page to locate the course. Search by Institution, Term, and Subject Area (option: add Catalog Nbr). Select the course of interest, and then select the "Enrollment Control" tab.

Fields that may be updated by Curricular Representatives
Field | Description |
---|---|
Class Status | Default as Active. Change to Canceled Section if you are canceling a section with no enrollment after the schedule of classes has been released. Change to Active if a section has been canceled by Curricular Services and a student is trying to enroll after the 5th week. Contact Curricular Services if you need to cancel a section after students are enrolled and/or on the wait list. |
Add Consent | Three options are available. No Special Consent Required should be selected in most situations, since catalog requisites and any section-level requisites will limit enrollment to appropriate students. Independent Study sections must be set to either Instructor Consent Required or Department Consent Required. A requirement for department or instructor consent will apply to all students who wish to enroll, even those who meet the catalog requisite and any section-level requisites. |
Requested Room Capacity | Expected room capacity for the final enrollment of the section. Note: if there are multiple components to a course, make sure the main component's room capacity is sufficient for the enrollment in each secondary section. For example, if you are scheduling a Lecture and three Discussions, ensure that the Lecture capacity can accommodate the capacities of all three Discussions. If you leave this blank, it will default to what is entered in the enrollment capacity field. |
Enrollment Capacity | Number of students allowed to enroll in this class section. As with requested room capacity, ensure that the the sum of enrollment capacities for secondary components (e.g., Discussions) are accounted for in the primary components' enrollment capacity (e.g., Lectures). |
Wait List Capacity | Number of students allowed to enroll on the Wait List if the enrollment capacity is reached. Set the Wait List Capacity to 0 if you will not utilize the wait list. |
1st Auto Enroll Section | The related section that this section will automatically enroll the students into. For example, if you are adding a Discussion 301 that will auto-enroll into Lecture 001, enter 001 in this field. See also: Class Associations Diagrams and Set Up |
2nd Auto Enroll Section | An additional section that this section will automatically enroll the students into. For example, if you are adding a Lab 601, that will auto-enroll into Dis 301 and Lec 001, enter 301 in this field and 001 in the 1st auto enroll field.
