How to create local backups of your LabArchives data

There are two ways to backup and retain a read-only copy of a LabArchives notebook. Users can download a PDF copy that includes all entries and embedded attachments that are smaller than 250 MB or users can choose to create an offline HTML version of the notebook that is also searchable and clickable. The ELN service team cautions against the download of notebooks containing HIPAA data, unless the notebook will be stored in a HIPAA approved storage location. The ELN service team recommends that PDF and/or HTML copies of LabArchives notebooks are stored in ResearchDrive.  ResearchDrive is a secure and permanent shareable storage space on the UW-Madison campus network that provides 5TB of free storage space per PI.  For more information on the ResearchDrive service and obtaining an account, please see the link below:
