LabArchives: Sharing

How to share your content with other LabArchives users

The ability to easily share your data with other researchers is a selling point of using an LabArchives: you can share your data with anyone who has a LabArchives account. LabArchives has a great help article on the topic of sharing.

  • To add researchers in your research group: see our help document on adding lab members and select the user role you'd prefer
  • For collaborators at UW-Madison: follow a similar process as for researchers in your group. If they already have access to the ELN, you do not need to request access from the ELN team, but you will need to give them access to your notebooks in the notebook manager interface
  • For collaborators outside the UW-Madison: we recommend granted limited access via the Guest role. Guests can be given edit rights for 60 days. After 60 days, the Guest access will become read only. However, if they have their own subscription to LabArchives, you can add them to any of the roles mentioned above.

See this article for more information and a video tutorial.
