1Password - How to delete your LastPass account

After you migrate to 1Password and have validated all your secrets are accurately migrated, it is suggested you delete your LastPass account. This ensures your account data isn't left behind. LastPass accounts won't be deleted when the UW-Madison license expires, they'll be converted to free accounts.

Warning: Please be aware that deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone.

It is strongly recommended that you migrate to 1Password before proceeding, as this operation cannot be undone.

To proceed with the account deletion process, do the following:

  1. If you are already logged in to your LastPass account, you can navigate directly to the My Account page at https://lastpass.com/my.php.
  2. Log in to LastPass and access your vault by doing either of the following:
  3. Select Account Settings in the left navigation menu.
    • Account Settings
  4. Under Account Information, locate the "Links" section and select My Account.

  5. Select Delete or Reset Account.
    • Delete or reset account
  6. On the "Delete Your Account" page, select Delete.
    • Delete your account
  7. Optional:  If desired, provide a reason you are deleting your account. This is not required.
    • Feedback delete
  8. Select Delete.
  9. When prompted, select Yes > Yes > OK.
    • Confirmation
    • 2nd confirmation
    • Confirmation message

Results: You have permanently deleted your LastPass account.
