GlobalProtect - Connecting to the SMPH VPN using Windows 11
Steps for connecting to the VPN portal in GlobalProtect on a Windows 11 OS computer.
- Click the "Show hidden icons" section (up arrow, right side of taskbar) and select the GlobalProtect icon (white globe symbol).
- Confirm the VPN Portal address (smph.vpn.wisc.edu) then, click the Connect button.
Note: If you need to add the SMPH portal address to GlobalProtect do the following:
Click the three bar icon (upper right corner)
In the Connections window, select the plus symbol,
Enter the portal address (smph.vpn.wisc.edu), then click Add
- Enter your NetID Credentials, then click the Connect button.
- Type in a Fob generated pass code, or enter the number 1 for Duo Push to authenticate with app, then click the Sign In button.
- You should now be connected to the SMPH VPN portal.
