BCATT Release Notes

BCATT is a basic replacement of CATT reimplemented to use Workday data. As the implementation continues, notes will be added to this page on what functionality has been released.

Production BCATT

BCATT is now available as a limited production application, available for persistent data entry and updating.

The URL is https://bcatt.med.wisc.edu.

Implemented Functionality

  • You can view a dashboard with
    • Bookmarked Awards, Gifts, Grants, Programs, and Projects.
    • Gifts, Grants, Programs, and Projects with a default cost center to which the user is subscribed.
    • Incomplete action items created by you or assigned to you.
  • You can view details about Awards, Funds, Gifts, Grants, Programs, and Projects. Details are:
    • Worktag name and ID
    • Legacy project ID
    • PI (Principal Investigator)
    • Driver manager for Grants only
  • You can view additional information for Gift, Grant, Program, or Project, including:
    • Default cost center, function, and fund.
  • You can view start and end dates for Projects.
  • You can create, edit, and delete Memos about Awards, Gifts, Grants, Programs, and Projects.
  • You can add action items and attachments.
  • You can subscribe to Cost Centers for easier navigation.
  • You can bookmark Awards, Gifts, Grants, Programs, and Projects for easier navigation.
    • You can bulk-import bookmarks from a *.csv file.
    • You can add bookmarks directly from Awards, Gifts, Grants, Programs, and Projects pages

Recent Updates

  • Bookmarks can be imported in bulk from a *.csv file
  • Legacy project IDs are displayed
  • Easily add bookmarks directly from Awards, Gifts, Grants, Programs, and Projects pages
  • Larger memo text box
  • Memo edits save correctly
  • Attachments save correctly
  • Dashboard tables list up to 50 per page

QA BCATT

The QA version continues to be available for testing at https://qa-bcatt.med.wisc.edu/. Key stakeholders are invited to log into the application and provide feedback. 

Here are a few things to keep in mind about the QA version of BCATT:
  • This is an environment for testing - it is not for doing actual work. You need to be logged into VPN or on the SMPH network to access the application.
  • The data you see originates in Workday.
  • Periodically we will need to clear the database, so things that you enter during testing will be cleared periodically
  • You can click on anything and create/delete data without worrying about breaking anything. If something does seem broken, let us know so we can fix it!
As we continue to work on BCATT, we welcome your feedback via our application development portal.

Future Needs

  1. List other worktags for which the user is a driver manager
  2. Import existing memos, action items, and attachments
  3. PI Summary Report listing all accounts and any Memos or Actions Items
  4. Cash Balance data
  5. Overdraft reporting
  6. Ability to organize Bookmarked accounts
  7. Customizable sort orders
