Department limited, service, and vendor permit application process

This document outlines the process for UW departments, affiliated departments, and commercial vendors to apply for a parking permit to conduct business on the UW-Madison campus.
  1. Assess your parking needs and explore permit options.

  2. Complete an application.

    • UW departments and affiliated departments apply for department limited and service permits using the UW Department/Service Application.
    • Commercial businesses, private organizations, or contractors providing service / conducting official university business apply for vendor permits using the Vendor Permit Application.

  3. Wait for communications from Transportation Services.

You may be contacted for more information as applications are processed. You will also be contacted when permit assignments are offered.
