Primary Domain:

• Each Web Hosting account has a primary domain and an equivalent test site.
  • When you apply for a web account, you will select the URL to use for your site. (For Example: yoursite.wisc.edu, where "yoursite" is a unique name and usually an abbreviation of your department, institution, etc.)

• New domains in the ".wisc.edu" domain space are subject to specific guidelines for approval. For more information, please see the DoIT DNS Name Selection Policy.
  
  
• Our service can also accommodate other non ".wisc.edu" domains such as ".wisconsin.edu", and .org's and .com's.
