WiscWeb - Changing theme colors

This document will walk you through the different color settings that are available with the UW Theme.

Overview

The UW Theme offers three different options for changing out colors on your site. Each of these options can be updated in the Customizer.

Steps

  1. Navigate to your project Dashboard
  2. Hover over Appearance and choose Customize
  3. Click on the Colors option
  4. Toggle color options by selecting different radio buttons. Your option should update the preview of your site to the right of the Customizer so that you can see how the different colors will look.

There are options for main title color, page background color, and menu bar colors.

  5. When finished, click on the blue Publish button

Troubleshooting

  • If you no longer see your site title in the header, it might be because of changing the main title color to white. To reset this, go in and change the main title color to red or black.
