Exporting Data

There are user-based reasons for using facility or room details outside of the CSI environment. This may be as simple as printing a report or exporting a table of results to manipulate data offline.

There are two types of exporting in CSI software: Reports and Floor Plans.

From Reports

Reports are the only way to export tabular data from CSI. Report exports can be printed or used to work with tabular data off-line.

To prepare & export data – See the Customizing Reports lesson for detailed help to prepare and export space data.

From Floor Plans

Floor plans can be very helpful to download for many uses.

To prepare – See the Viewing a Floor Plan lesson to select the desired floor plan and details for downloading.
To export – See the Printing a Floor Plan lesson to optimize PDF exports

User Responsibilities

Reports are exported with a report name, date, and disclaimer information. For more details, see the Access to CSI lesson. Be mindful of storing and sharing any floor plans with sensitive areas.
