UW-Madison Zoom - Change your display name (including pronouns)

The default display name for your Zoom account will be in the form of "FIRST MIDDLE LAST", per the name listed in the MyUW app. If your Name in Use is different, please update it using the Name in Use app.

Important:

  • Important: You will need to sign out (log out) of any Zoom client and sign back in for your modified Name in Use to appear within Zoom client you are using. Learn how to sign into your UW-Madison Zoom account via web/desktop clients.
  • If you modify your Name in Use within MyUW, this will also change your name in many other UW-Madison applications (e.g. MyUW, Office 365, etc.).
  • You now have the ability to set pronouns for your account - learn more. Important: You must be using version 5.7.0 or higher for pronouns to be visible when using the desktop client.
