Doodle - Unable to change theme for branded account

While using Doodle, you may encounter an error when attempting to change themes. Themes are not supported within the branded UW-Madison Doodle instance.
[Doc 12228 content is unavailable at this time.]

Problem

It initially appears possible to change the theme in Doodle. If you go to Manage Account and click on Change Theme, you appear to be able to change the theme. However, there are three problems with this:

  1. You may notice that the UW-Madison logo has disappeared from the upper left and the rest of the theme settings appear to have defaulted back to the defaults for Doodle's publicly available site.

  2. If you make changes to these settings and attempt to click Save, you will receive an error "Your settings have been saved but are currently inactive since you are not a Premium User."

  3. The settings on the Changer Settings page will appear to have been saved, but when you attempt to view any other page in the UW-Madison instance of Doodle, the default theme will return.

Solution

Unfortunately, changing themes is not supported in the UW-Madison branded version of Doodle. At this time, any changes to the theme that you make in your account will not be applied.
