UW-Madison Remote Desktop Service - Requesting Access to Licensed Software

Certain software available via the Remote Desktop Service requires the purchase of a license before it can be used. This document explains how to obtain access to these applications.

Titles available via the Remote Desktop Service that require a license for use include:

  • Microsoft Project Standard 2024
  • Microsoft Visio Standard 2024

Licenses are purchased via the Departmental Software Order Form. We recommend purchasing standard editions of Project and/or Visio 2024, as the Professional versions cannot be installed concurrently with Standard and are not available via this service.

Once a license has been purchased, contact support@doit.wisc.edu to request access to licensed software via the Remote Desktop Service. Please include the email documenting your license purchase.
