PyMOL and AxPyMOL at UW-Madison

This document explains the current state of PyMOL and associated features at UW-Madison.
PyMOL is open-source molecular visualization software utilized by structural biologists for visualizing and analyzing protein, DNA, and other biological molecule structures.

Eligibility

Facstaff are eligible for PyMOL and AxPyMOL access if they are in a University-paid position

Students are eligible for PyMOL and AxPyMOL access if they are currently enrolled as a student in a degree-seeking program at the University.

PyMOL and AxPyMOL are only licensed for teaching and research purposes, any other use violates the terms of our agreement.

Facstaff access at UW-Madison

PyMOL and AxPyMOL can be accessed directly through the Campus Software Library after a valid NetID login.

 

Student access at UW-Madison

PyMOL and AxPyMOL can be accessed directly through the Campus Software Library after a valid NetID login.

 

What's included in PyMOL for UW-Madison

UW-Madison licenses include support and version updates for PyMOL and AxPyMOL.
