iOS - How to Find the Version of iOS Used on a Device

Apple periodically releases updates to the version of iOS used on the iPhone. This document explains how to identify which version of iOS firmware a device is using.

As referenced in the following Apple document:

  1. Locate and open the Settings app.

  2. Tap General.

  3. Tap About.

  4. Note the current iOS version is listed by Version.

If your iOS version is out of date, Update iOS on iPhone.
