Windows 8 and 10 - Changing the Input Language

This document describes how to change the keyboard input language in Windows 8.

Adding an Input Language

  1. Select the Start button
    Windows start Icon in the bottom left of the screen.

  2. Then select Settings > Time & Language > Language.

  1. Choose a language from the Add a language list under Preferred languages, and then select Options.At the bottom of the Language page in Time & Language settings, the Add a language button is highlighted.

  2. Select Download from the Download language pack option.Under Language options, Download a language pack has a Download button directly beneath it.

  3. After the language pack is installed, choose the language from the Windows display language menu.Language on the left menu is highlighted with the selector at the top of the right panel highlighted as well.

Switching Between Languages

Windows 10:

In the lower right corner of the screen, press the icon that has the character sequence representing the current language. This will allow you to switch languages.
