Windows 8 and 10 - Changing the Input Language

This document describes how to change the keyboard input language in Windows 8.

Adding an Input Language

  1. Select the Start button
    Windows start Icon

  2. Then select SettingsTime & Language Language.Time & Language menu icon
  3. Choose a language from the Add a language list under Preferred languages, and then select Options.Adding a language

  4. Select Download from the Download language pack option.Downloading a language pack

  5. After the language pack is installed, choose the language from the Windows display language menu.Selecting a language

Switching Between Languages

Windows 10:

In the lower right corner of the screen, press the icon that has the character sequence representing the current language. This will allow you to switch languages.
