Canvas - Decisions: Alcohol and Drug Awareness Course [UW-Madison]

This document briefly describes the Decisions: Alcohol and Drug Awareness course in Canvas, and where students can get assistance with this training course.

For Fall 2026, the University of Wisconsin–Madison is introducing a new required alcohol and other drug education program for all incoming undergraduate degree-seeking students, including transfer students. This new program, Decisions: Alcohol and Drug Awareness, will replace AlcoholEdu.

Decisions: Alcohol and Drug Awareness will still be accessed through Canvas and cover important information on informed decision-making and campus resources related to alcohol and other drug use. Incoming students will be invited to take the course, along with other required online programs for incoming students, in early August 2026. More information about the program can be found on the UHS website.

For questions regarding the course please email the UHS Alcohol and Other Drug Team at aodprevention@uhs.wisc.edu
