Important update regarding DoIT Numbers

The DoIT Number (D Number) system was discontinued on February 28, 2025, as part of UW–Madison's transition to Workday. 

Please email billing@doit.wisc.edu with any funding string questions before the Workday transition on July 1, 2025.

Information related to the Workday transition:

• DoIT Service Providers do not need to provide new Workday funding strings — this will be handled at the division level.

• DoIT Financial Services will reach out to campus customers to affirm the Workday FDMs following the completion of the ATP FDM mapping process. 

• DoIT will begin using the new FDMs starting July 1, 2025.

Users can login with their NetID and password to the DoIT Numbers website at DoIT Numbers. This site allows users to perform the following functions:

• Set up new DoIT Numbers
• Maintain DoIT Number funding strings
• Close or suspend existing Numbers
• Update the effective dates of their Numbers
