Kaltura machine captioning pilot in Fall 2019 at UW-Madison

The Learn@UW Madison team is currently testing the Kaltura REACH v2 machine captioning functionality for Kaltura MediaSpace through an approved closed Pilot approved by the Learn@UW-Madison Executive Committee.
This pilot is being conducted during the Fall semester of 2019. The goal is to evaluate Kalturas machine captioning and caption editor tools to determine whether machine captioning should be enabled. If it is determined that these tools meet UW-Madisons needs, the project will determine a rollout strategy of these tools and outline best practices for this centrally supported machine captioning solution. For the time being users need to utilize the two supported professional captioning services for captioning video: Media captioning, transcription, and audio description vendor rate comparison
