eText & DLTs - Scheduled Update to Pearson, November 23

On Saturday, November 23rd, from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM, Pearson will be updating several of their systems to improve performance and security. All higher education digital products from Pearson will be completely inaccessible during this time.

This will affect the following Pearson digital learning tools (DLTs): MyLab, MyLabsPlus, Mastering, Modified Mastering, Learning Studio, Revel, eText, Pearson Writer, Strategic Reader, and StatCrunch. Engage pilot participants who are not using a Pearson DLT will not be affected by this outage.

During this planned outage, all Pearson DLT users will be unable to sign in or access their courses, create or copy courses, or sync grades with the Canvas LMS. If any user tries to access Pearson materials located outside of Canvas during this time, they will see a splash page explaining that Pearson is conducting maintenance. If the content is integrated with Canvas, those users will likely see an error message that states the course cannot be found. Please do not try to access or work on your Pearson content during the maintenance window.

Pearson will post in-product messages 72 hours prior to this November 23rd event, and messages will also be posted to Twitter (@PearsonSupport) and on the Pearson Support webpage.
